L.F. Info-Station Access Terminal

【概要】x264に詳しいブログ。しかも日本語。

Winな方のブログ。x264はx86が本場なので参考になるなる。
当方は激Mac使いであってごく稀にLinuxを起動する事はあってもWinを使った事は無いので隔靴掻痒ではあるんだけど。

またCodecIDがV_MS/VFW/FOURCC (FourCC: H.264)だと再生が重いようですが、MPEG4/ISO/AVC (FourCC: AVC1)だと前者に比べて若干再生時の負荷が低減されているようです。
AVIで作るなら前者しか使えませんが、OGMや MKVに格納する場合は後者を選択することを推奨します。

また、後者を利用する場合は音声にAACを利用することをあわせて推奨します。

ふーむ。
MKVはともかくAVIはまだ使われてるようにも読める。
AVC-in-AVIはいろいろ面倒と思っていた。
妖精現実さんがそう書いてたし、Doom9コデックコンテスト2005もMPEG-4 codecは全面的に.mp4にしてたし。
multiple reference とか " 1 frame in 1 frame out " 原則のVfW/AVIでどうすんだろ。

とはいえ、
AVIはWin/linuxのインフラだし。人間、慣れたもんを使うのが最善だし。
なにより、
本来Bフレームを受け付けないVfW/AVIを Packed B-frameやDelay frameを駆使して乗り切ってみせた実績がある。
侮れない。

ってあたりの用心が、今年の目標に繋がっている。

他にもカテゴリ：動画にx264Revの更新記録がざっくりまとめてあったり、 wmv9との使い分けとかもあるので大変ありがたいブログナリね。
それに、やっぱ「わかってる人」の書くもんは短くて読み易い^^;。
